
EMS will host a series of development sessions for anyone interested in making an application to the Traditional Arts Fund. These open sessions are free and will take place at the following venues:
10th February - Scottish Music Centre, Candleriggs, Glasgow, G1 1NQ 4.30 - 6pm
11th February - Eastgate Theatre & Arts Centre, Peebles, EH45 8AD 4.30 - 6pm
14th February - Eden Court, Bishop's Road, Inverness, IV3 5SA 5.00 - 6.30pm

The fund
Enterprise Music Scotland has an allocation of £50,000 available for the funding of small traditional arts projects. This fund is devolved from Creative Scotland and is managed centrally by Enterprise Music Scotland and its appointed specialist advisors. The fund is accessed through a written application procedure and will be monitored and evaluated by both Enterprise Music Scotland and Creative Scotland. The fund is designed to provide support for traditional artists and organisations to create, platform, tour and showcase their work. The fund will also support professional development projects.
Who can apply?
Individuals, groups and organisations can apply to this fund. The applicant must be able to demonstrate a positive track record and professional commitment to one or more of the traditional art forms:

Creative Scotland
Please note that you may wish to consider applying to Creative Scotland directly. There is a funding strand within quality arts production specifically for Traditional Arts – awards of between £2,000 and £30,000.

There is a funding strand specifically for Touring – awards of between £1,000 and £60,000. There are two deadlines: the second being 15th October.
